1954 Angelo Guala founds the Guala Group in Alessandria.
1955 First product innovation.
1958 First non-refillable closure.
1962 Beginning of sales in France and Scotland.

1968 First Business Plan.
1973 Opening of the first international plant in Spain.
1975 Opening of a new company for automation and moulds.
1977 Opening of a sales office in Russia.
1985 First Mission Statement.
1987 First Pump Dispenser for toothpaste.
1989 Bisio Progetti and GualaPack are founded.
1990 First Flexible Pouch with Spout (Cheerpack).
1992 First Trigger Sprayer.
1993 Acquisition of a Spanish company.
1995 Beginning of sales in the Far East and opening of a sales office in Beijing.
1996 Guala India and Tapas Albert (Colombia) are founded.
1997 Guala Dispensing is founded.
1998 Sale of GualaClosures.
2000 Acquisition of Robino & Galandrino.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Our company financially supports several cultural initiatives in the area:
ACSAL, Associazione Cultura e Sviluppo Alessandria (Alessandria Association for Culture and Development) is sponsored by our President Pier Giacomo Guala and his brother Roberto Guala.
Acsal activities are mainly related to young people education in the field of politics and economics but several initiatives are also related to intercultural exchanges, welfare and leisure activities.
Together with Bayer, Basell and Mossi & Ghisolfi Group, in 1997 Guala created the PROPLAST Consortium for the promotion of the plastic culture with the aim to promote the plastic culture in Italy. At present, Proplast counts 205 members: 180 industrial companies, 9 associations, 13 universities, 2 public bodies and 1 bank foundation. Pier Giacomo Guala is Proplast Chairman.
The Proplast consortium of companies and the university Politecnico di Torino also founded and sponsored The Center for Plastics Engineering to promote plastics technologies in Italy.
